20008 Remoateapp poor performance

I have setup a remoteapp on 2008 r2 server. I have installed the remote app on
my computer which is at a remote site, we have a large pipe 100/MBs. I was
hoping to see similar perfomance with the remoateapp as compared to having
the app installed directly on my desktop. There is some noticable speed
differences. Any tips for speeding up remoteapps? I do not see how bandwidth
would be an issue here with the large pipe we have. I really thought the
remoteapp would load faster than if it was installed locally.

If the problem is the initial load time, it is probably due to delays in the
logon to the RDSH (TS) server.
