Hi All,
I have a customer with a windows server 2003 r2, Sp2 that
wants to run a single application on his remote desktops
that looks just like it was a local program. How do I do
this? If I can not, what would give me the closest
functionality?
Many thanks,
-T

Use the setting: Start this program on every connection, in tscc.msc
or in a GPO.

Hi Vera,
I get the same full desktop, without any icons in it and the
program right in the middle. Is there a way to get just the program?
Many thanks,

Yes, in Win2003 that is what you get. If you want RemoteApps, which look
just like a local program, you need Win2008 or later.
There is also third party software, e.g. Citrix, that can do this on Win2003.

Any way to make mstsc start in windowed mode? That would be
essentially the same thing.
Any thing cheaper than Citrix?
Many thanks,

My customer's $85,000.00 custom software will not run
under Vista/W7/WS08. Quelle surprise!
I love the way TS works under WS08 too.

On the Programs tab of mstsc, check "Start the following program on
connection" and fill in the next fields. You can then save the RDP file and
launch it later.
