Windows Server - Headless WSH Box: How To Set Desktop Size?

Asked By (PeteCresswell) on 06-Aug-10 05:19 PM
Without a video card in this PC, RDP thinks the screen size is
some rather large dimension (as in 1900 x 1200) and the RDP
window becomes inconvenient.

Anybody know how to change it to something like 1024 x 1200
without a video card being present?

Per (PeteCresswell):

It seems like might be picking up the size from the default
monitor of the PC that is running RDP.... but the zinger is that
Display Properties | Settings | Screen Resolution's control
starts at 1920 by 1200 and only goes up... not down - and also
does not respond to user input.

Got it. it is a setting in the Remote Desktop Connection dialog
that pops when one right-clicks the RDP shortcut and selects
Edit.

Display | Remote desktop size
