Windows Server - Print Server - Internet Printing feature no longer working

Hello,

I had setup a Windows 2008 x64 standard Print server with the Internet
printing role installed.

Everything worked fine until I renamed the server. Now when I try to add a
printer through http://servername/printers (select the printer and then click
on "connect") I get "Printer Installation Failed, Printer name is invalid".

I can still add the printers by the shared name \\servername\printername.

What do I have to update in order to restore the ability to add printers
through the web interface again?

Thank you.

Not sure what happened but it is working fine today. Maybe just needed time
for name change to replicate through the domain.

Thank you.

Windows Server On WS2008 cannot install 32 bit drivers. I need to share a printer attached am trying to 'go by the book' and install 32bit drivers on the WS2008 machine. Windows Server Add Windows 7 drivers to the existing printer Hi, I have SBS 2003 with 2 installed network printers. One of them is most common used and first Windows 7 client on the network cannot install that printer localy (error 0x00000709). How can I add windows 7 drivers to existing printer, without removing it from the server? Thanks You did not say if the Win7 is x32 or x64, but the instructions are probably similar. Adding 64-bit drivers to the 32-bit print the driver remotely to the server from a 64 bit machine. 2. Logon to the x64 machine with a user account that is admin on the print server. Launch printmanagement.msc exactly. 5. If that does not work, create it as a local printer on the x64 machine, using a new Local Port. Set the port name to \ ServerName \ PrinterShareName. Win7 x32
