I may have messed up... I just did a brand new 2008 install "without hyper-v"
because the one included in 2008 was beta code. I was assuming I'd be able to
download and install Hyper-V either from MSDN subscribers area, or from the
public downloads area.
Is it possible to download/install RTM Hyper-V to a an install of "Server
2008 Without Hyper-V"?
If so, what do I need to download and where can I find it?
Thanks.

No. You need to install the correct version of Server 2008 x64 with
Hyper-V. You can then add the RTM version of Hyper-V from Windows Update.
(In fact it will just happen if you have automatic updates on).
After the update installs and you reboot you can enable the Hyper-V role.
Does WSUS block Windows Update? Windows Server I have one PC running Vista, and I would like that PC to be able to check the Windows Update site directly, for Driver Updates. I know I can do Driver Updates through WSUS, but or 3 I really need. I can't tell if my Vista PC is checking Windows Update, and there's nothing new there, or if it is restricted to checking my WSUS the PC is contains? Is there a way to get it to check the Microsoft Windows Update site? Thanks, Andy Windows Server Update Services Discussions Windows Update (1) WSUS (1) Vista
windows update Windows Server I tried running the windows update for windows 2003 server sp1 on small business 2003 server. Part way through the installation, I get work? Or should I rebuild the drive? Fortunately, there is nothing critical on the system. Windows Update Windows Server I was wondering when the updates actually download to the computer. I have some the updates from downloading. I think I remember seeing an option in Vista to delay update download.
