Disable client reboot

Asked By sgr

Hello,

I have configured wsus clients in a non-active directory enviroment. In this
moment I am using the option AUOptions=4 in order to do a scheduled
installation. My question is how do I configure in the registry for disable
the reboot?. I know that if I put the value of NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers
=1 and there is an user logged the computer does not reboot but If there is not
an user logged the computers reboot and this interfere with others process
that are executing in the same moment.

Thanks for all

All of the documentation for configuring the WUAgent with hte registry is
found in the Deployment Guide,
specifically at "Configure Clients in a Non-Active Directory Enviroment"

There is no way to do this. You will need to change the configuration so that
updates are only installed on demand.

Harry.

Thanks for yor reply.

Thanks for yor reply.

If I set the option in the registry AUOptions=3 the updates are downloaded
but not installed, but Is there any command to install it?

Thanks for all.

Define "command". If you mean you want to install them using a command-line
interface, e.g., if the machines are running Server Core, or you do not like to
use Remote Desktop, you can use scripting.

This might be of help as a starting point:

There are other such scripts available, most with much larger feature sets, so
it just depends what you want. Documentation for the API is available on the
MSDN web site.
