Windows Server - Windows XP Service Pack 3 Revision 104

I just finished deploying Windows XP Service Pack 3.
Today, I notice on my WSUS 3.0, there's a newer WinXP SP3 revision.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Revision history:

1)
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929)
Revision: 104
Revised: 5/27/2008
Status: Not Approved
The applicability rules or prerequisites have changed. This type of change
means that the set of machines on which the new revision is offered may be
different from the set of machines on which the old revision is offered.

2)
Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929)
Revision: 103
Revised: 5/6/2008
Status: Install

If I set rev. 103 to Not Approved and rev. 104 to Install, will it download
another 300MB (or so) SP3? Will it REinstall revision 104 to my WinXP SP3
machines? I don't really want my users to have to go thru another round of
large update.

Thanks.
Windows XP

It happens! Quite common for 'revisions' to be released on WSUS.

No. A =revision= generally only changes the metadata or the detection logic.

It will not.

The ground rule of a "revision" is that the underlying =content= has not
changed.

When the =content= changes, a new update with a new GUID will be packaged
and released.s

Source Code Windows Server Here is an article about how the NT source code was leaked and apparently will it be before Microsoft has new operating systems with new source code. Wikipedia mentions Windows 7 will use the Windows NT source code much to my dismay. I have rebooted serveral XP workstations to see if that would help, it has not. WSUS 3.0 SP2 shows as not needed Windows Server I noticed that WSUS 3.0 SP2 was synchronized to my WSUS server during remote console and not the server itself? I also noticed this was not applicable to Windows XP. Am I to assume that MS has dropped support of the remote console from this platform? WSUS Windows Server Scenario: WSUS 3.0 SP1 installed on a Windows Server 2003 VM in a disconnected network (no connection to the internet or other networks) with a couple dozen mostly identical clients managed by Group Policy. All prerequisites were successfully installed and installation of WSUS went seemingly fine. My selfupdate folder tree is a disconnected server. Settings and updates were copied from a server on a parallel network, metadata imported successfully using wsusutil.exe. Updates do appear to be seen. . . clients do not. . . Any suggestions?
