Hello All,

I have two separate SBS 2003 Servers in two locations. One suddenly is
missing it is DNS Server which was set up (no longer there, nor in the
management options).

The other basically had it is DHCP information wiped out. Am wondering what
might be happening - is there a virus of some sort targeting these systems?
All advice welcome.

Companies are unrelated.

Thanks.

I have never seen the DNS go away

but on the DHCP
Has someone accidentally Turn on DHCP on the Firewall?
Normally this does not delete the DHCP However

The good news is that you can just add the DHCP services on the Control
panel
and recreate a DHCP scope.

Are you sure you do not have another "ADMIN" mixing the Punch?

Windows Server DNS / Active Directory Issue I recently added a new dc that is also the new global ad when trying to change permissions, etc. 2. Clients are also not using the new dns server (which is also the new dc / global catalog server) to access the internet. I network no one is able to access the internet and they all have the new dns server added to their nic settings as the primary dns server. All addresses are static so there is no dhcp server.
