Hi all,

Happy new year etc.. :)

Hope someone can help with this intermittent (1/20) issue.

During the build process a batch file maps a drive (NET USE) to a
share on a server using \\server.place.company.com\share$ syntax.
This fails with system error 53 - The network path was not found.

Using \\server\share works ok.

IP config is with WIN servers and a DNS suffix as above
place.company.com.

Any simple cause/fix (I hope)?

thanks

Andy
