Windows Server - Windows File and Print Sharing

Hi,

I recently setup a SBS 2003 Server for a ME (Micro Enterprise).  We are
experiencing slow transfer speeds using the SMB Protocol.  When we test
using Memory to Memory Transfer over the network and FTP it works at
full gigabit speed (Limited by the PCI Bus), but we are limited to
100Mbps Full Duplex Speed using the SMB Protocol.

I have tried adjusting the TCP Windows Size with minimal results.

Hardware Specs

Intel S5000VSA Main board
2x Intel XEON 5410 Processors
4GB RAM
4x 800GB (RAID 0+1) SATAII (200MB/s Sustained Transfer Speed)
3x Intel 1000/Pro NIC (Onboard Teamed), (Other for Internet)

SBS 2003 RC2

Note that SBS is its own beast and SBS203 questions are best asked in
microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs for the best results.

If at all possible disable the NIC teaming and use only a single NIC
in your server. Unless you are using ISA you do not need two, and a
multihomed DC can have all sorts of problems. Use a good perimeter
firewall appliance.
