Lucent QIP v6 migrate to Windows 2003 Server DNS

Asked By randerso

Greetings All,

We have an old Lucent QIP DNS server (ver 6) that is out of date by
six revisions or more. We want to move to Microsoft DNS as the default
service for the network and jettison the QIP server.

My task is to migrate all of the DNS data from the QIP server to a new
2003 domain controller running the DNS service.

I have had no luck finding a whitepaper or some other resource to help
me accomplish this, hopefully someone might have some insight or
direction that would help.

Thanks in advance...

Randerso

I do not know anything about QIP, can you export the DNS records to a .txtfile?

I do not know anything about QIP, can you export the DNS records to a .txt
file? If so you can import DNS records into Windows DNS using a .txt file.
