Windows Server - DFS Configuration

Can someone suggest a book that walks you though setting up a DFS
step-by-step? Also, and even more importantly, can someone suggest a resource
for how to add in a new DFS server and remove old servers?
I attempted to do this intuitively and it was a disaster basically. I logged
on to the new server, moved data from a different server to the new one using
NTBACKUP to try and give it a head start, added it into the DFS hierarchy,
created the connections, and thought it would work. It did nothing. Today, I
went on a different server, right-clicked the root and selected Configure
Replication. After walking through the wizard, the root got a blue icon on
it, and then all of the files on all of the severs were moved to the
DFSRPRIVATE folder and a DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory showed up.
Disaster. I turned off Replication and left it at that for now.

Definitely Mark Minasi books by Sybex.
His book "Mastering Windows 2003 Server" is great. I paid $ 69.00 back in
the day now it is $ 10.00 on Amazon and E-bay. He has a fantastic way of
explaining even the most boring and technically complex material. I learned
how to set up DFS-NTFRS in an hour using this book. See below:

Last year I made the mistake of buying another Windows 2008 book and it is
not nearly as good as the Minasi Sybex books. You spend pages reading about
the history of something and how great it is then when you finally get around
to the part about how to set it up, it refers you to the CDROM. arrgh.

SBS2008 + searching large mailbox Windows Server Have an SBS2008 installation. The company has a Mail Archive mailbox which is around 8GB their PC's it takes a very very long time. However on their previous SBS 2003 server in Exchange 2003 it was taking nowhere near as long and searching was almost instant. Any ideas why mailbox seems to be performing so mich slower than it was before on their SBS 2003 setup ? The new hardware for the SBS2008 is HP ML350G6 18GB RAM which is much faster than their old SBS 2003 server. Only other major change to their PC setup is their AV was upgraded from SAV

Why does exiting "server management" exit my Terminal Server session? Windows Server Hi All, I have never seen this weird behavior before. I have a customer with a SBS2003 Terminal Server. In start up, it has an icon for Management). Okay, no problem. I have seen this before. But, on this particular server, when you exit "server management", you also exit your Terminal Services' session (same as Logout). What a pain in the neck! So, I erased "server management" from Start Up and now no log out problems with any other program. But
