I have installed a file server cluster and I have 12 different partitions on
a HP eva. each partition is asigned to a different server in the cluster.
When I use the mmc for failoverclusters and use share an storage maintenage.
I can see that there ishould be an option for shadowcopies, because there is
an column that states shadowcopy, but on all the shares the collum is empty.
When I go to computermaintenage and connect to the core server I can add VSS
on the share. When I do a list on the core server with Vssadmin list
shadows, I Am able to see the VSS copy's.
When node 1 breaksdown and the share changes to node 2
VSS is disabled for this share and receives the standard VSS schedule
settings.
What is the right way to install vss on a FILE server cluster node?

Procedure is documented here:

You should make sure that you have your fileshare configured correctly...it
should depend on a network name resource and a disk resource. You may also
try applying the latest VSS rollup kit.

It sis downloading updates. I have a few basic questions: 1. I installed an XP x64 VM with SP3 from Server 2003 x64. I saw Windows XP 64-bit Edition Server 2003 as an option for updates and Server 2003 was for Itanium editions. So then I unchecked that product and selected XP x64. Which is the right version for my XP Pro x64 VM? 2. I cannot believe I am having a hard time managing WSUS. Can we safely say? Windows Server Hi all, If any aplications can support windows 2008 x64 bit, can you safely say that applications can support Windows 2008 R2 x64 bit too? Windows 2008 R2 just add some additional features than windows 2008, right? Thank you.
