Windows Server - How to create 80,000 AD users

Asked By Ross on 19-Dec-07 01:26 PM
Hi there,
I'd like to create 80,000 Active Directory users from user_1 to user_80000.
Is there a good way, or good tool to do it?
Thanks,
Ross

You can use this example from the Technet Script Center:

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/scripts/default.mspx?mfr=true

This example VBScript program creates 1000 users in bulk, but can be easily
modified for more. The example creates them all in the "cn=Users" container.
To create them in a specified OU, use something similar to:

Set objContainer = GetObject("LDAP://ou=Sales,ou=West,dc=MyDomain,dc=com")

You must specify the full Distinguished Name of the OU.
