ISA 2006 and Windows Live 2009 (build14)

Asked By Smurfman

After a recent Windows Live update that was required, ISA server is no longer
allowing traffic outbound for a specific rule that was created.

As I recall the traffic is being blocked on the offline address book
communication.

I have attempted to modify the rules, but it seems that unless you are an
admin on the domain with all access outbound, the windows Live connection
cannot be established and is now allowing my users to login.

I am looking for a rule that I can configure to allow windows live thru ISA
for specific users to the live live servers.

I am running live messenger Version 2009 (14.0.8089.726)

On ISA server 2006

Thanks
J
