ISA 2004 not able to set SMTP server to setup notification

Hi,

I am not able to configure notification (SMTP server) in scheduled reports,
what i have done so far was given the SMTP server and one "FROM" Email ID,
one "TO" email ID but when i press Test button it throughs one error that is

The simulation was not completed successfully.
No e-mail message was sent.

Yes Jens the ISA 2004 server is very much on the domain and we are using
