Windows Server - Disable Auto Configuration

Hello All,
I have recently added a new program to our SBS 2003 server called
WebMarshal. This program does what ISA does and then some. The problem that
I have is that all of the clients have ISA firewall client installed. Since
I was hoping not to change the Internet Proxy connections I changed ISA to
listen on 8082 and I have WebMarshal listening on 8080. The problem is that
when the users restart the ISA Firewall client changes their connection port
in IE to 8082. I have a script that I can customized to use 8080 but the
proxy port still changes. This causes ISA to become the firewall instead of
WebMarshal. Is there anyway to keep ISA from updating the clients with this
information. Can I just set ISA up to use the script - I think that this
does the same as using the proxy since the script has the proxy in it. I
just do not want to have to unistall ISA Client off of each desktop. I know
that I can disable ISA Client but the damage has already been done to the
proxy port once the user starts up. I did try to disable the Firewall client
support and web proxy client in ISA but this caused internet access to shut
down completely and I also lost my Remote Access to the server.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Rob

Install Web Marshal on it is own box.
If you will not do that, then it is like you are standing at the edge of a
cliff,...the dirt is cumbling beneath your feet,..a you are refusing to step
away from the cliff.
Disable the proxy autodetection in the ISA MMC in the properties of the
Internal Network Definition on the Auto Discovery Tab (just uncheck the
box).
If Web Marshall will not properly use ISA as an upstream proxy then the Web
Marshall box will need two nics,...sit on the network "edge", Web Marshall
will have to be capable of acting as a *full* firewall product,...and the
Web Marshall box will become the Firewall for the LAN. The SBS will have to
have ISA removed via the SBS Setup Wizards,..the external Nic removed,...and
the Connection Wizard re-run to adjust the SBS Server to working with one
Nic.
BTW - You said,... "This program does what ISA does and then some.",...I
do not believe that for a second. I think that you may not realize how much
ISA really does. If the Web Marshall sales staff convinced you of that I
think you may have been suckered.
