Report on rule usage ISA2006

Asked By Steven Andrews

Hi guys and girls

I originally posted this in microsoft.public.isa, but recieved no reply:

I have an ISA 2006 SP1 server, logging to MSDE, running on server 2003 Sp2.

Instead of going into monitoring, running a logging session of "firewall
or web proxy filter, last 24 hours, rule - FTP Inbound", getting the
results, copying to an excel spreadsheet, and handing it to the relevant
people, is there a way to automate this?

IE: Is there a way to automate listing all the connection details based
on specific rules?

Steve

I did post the similar question in the forum as well.

I did post the similar question in the forum as well. No reply or replied
asking me to use monitoring, which is not automated.
Maybe ISA 2006 does not have this feature!

That is correct,...it does not.

That is correct,...it does not. The way Steven is doing it is the way that
is provided.

MS left this open to third-party software companies to write "add-ons" for
ISA to do this.
If MS added these abilities now they would put these other companies out of
business and someone would inevitably sue them for some kind of
