Joining a Second Server to SBS 2000 Domain

Asked By Martyn Hudson

Sadly most of the documentation for SBS 2000 on TechNet appears to have been
removed. Any links take you to SBS 2008.

I would like to join a second Windows 2000 Server to the SBS 2000 domain to
run a few extra services. I am OK with configuring licensing on the
additional server, just not sure how you join it. Is there a wizard like SBS
2003? Which AD container do you create the computer account in? I am familiar
with changing computer name and using join domain under My Computer. Anybody ?

there is no wizard for joining the second server
join it like you would any standard server. You SBS CALs cover the =
second server
You'll want to put it in the same AD container that the original SBS is =
in.
